See below a collection of photos taken from the section 131 of Audi Field during a CONCACAF W Champions Cup game between the Washington Spirit and CF Monterrey. The final group stage match for each team was set up like an elimination match, with the winner set to secure a spot in the semifinals. The Spirit only needed a draw, but did not play like it. After taking an early lead through a Croix Bethune rebound, the hosts never let the game out of their control. Rose Kouassi led the Spirit’s attack, notching a goal and an assist in a span of three minutes early in the second half to triple the lead. Washington capped off the 4-0 win in the 67th minute when Brittany Ratcliffe forced an unfortunate own goal from Valeria del Campo. The win places the Spirit top of their group and firmly in the semifinals, alongside CF America, Pachuca, and reigning Cup champions Gotham FC. The semifinals and finals take place in May of 2026.
