A potential playoff preview, the two teams entered today with similar objectives of staying above the teams fighting for their respective spots in the table. However, the match showed why the Spirit are holding on to 2nd place overall, and Seattle are fighting for a playoff spot in 7th. Washington controlled most of the game, overwhelming Seattle in possession and shots. The Reign made the hosts nervous plenty of times but couldn’t convert. Trinity Rodman didn’t have that problem, notching a brace to lift the the Spirit to a 2-0 win.
