D.C. United has struggled lately, showing little to no promise on the field and struggling to reconnect with the community off it. The club is infected to the bones, and the only chance the club has to reclaim the success it built its reputation on is for the owners to sell the club.

It’s easy to put down the MLS by comparison to other leagues around the world, especially Europe. But at the end of the day we all keep coming back. It’s a league that delivers seldom of what it promises, and that in and of itself is more than enough to get me excited for each new season.
